The Verkhovna Rada may until February 1, defer penalties for individual entrepreneurs for non-application of cash registers, the appropriate changes in legislation proposed by the chairman of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy Daniel Getmantsev, the UNIAN says.

He said this on one of the national TV channels.

"I have already proposed a corresponding amendment, I think that we will vote fast enough to reduce or cancel the penalties for those who register EDR (registrars of payment devices - ed.) before February 1, 2022," - said the deputy.

We shall remind you that under the Tax Code of Ukraine, from January 1, 2022 single tax payers of the second to fourth groups, which carry out cash payments, are required to use in their activities registrars of accounting transactions and / or software registrars of accounting transactions.

On December, 1 last year, the parliament passed the law stipulating the postponement of the use of cash registers by entrepreneurs under the simplified taxation system till January 1, 2022.
