U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock and British Foreign Minister Elizabeth Truss the coordination of approaches to the situation around Ukraine. The sides also touched on the Iranian nuclear program.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the U.S. State Department.
Blinken and the foreign ministers of France, Germany and Britain also discussed a joint response in case of further aggression from Russia.
"They discussed the importance of continued coordination to deter any further Russian aggression against Ukraine and affirmed the existence of a consensus among allies and partners to ensure that there are large-scale consequences and serious damage to Russia for such actions," the text reads.
The secretary of state and his colleagues also discussed shared concerns about the pace of Iran's nuclear program amid Tehran's increasingly limited time to return to the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran's nuclear program).
He also noted that the topics of Lithuania's relations with China and the situation with the organization of elections in Libya were touched upon.
