The Cabinet has decided on a single register of war veterans: it concerns data on benefits

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine during a meeting on Thursday decided on the launch of the Unified State Register of war veterans.

As noted by Prime Minister Denis Shmigal, the register will contain data on the used and possible benefits of each war veteran and persons who have special services to the homeland.

"The registry is beta-testing now, and should be fully operational soon. This is another important step in the direction of digitalization, which will allow the introduction of convenient services for Ukrainian defenders," added Shmygal.

We will remind, in August 2019, the Cabinet approved the creation of the Unified state register of war veterans. According to the provision, this is a unified state information and telecommunication system designed for the collection, registration, accumulation, storage, protection and depersonalization of information in relation to persons, which, according to the functionality of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. And on December 14, the Verkhovna Rada passed a bill on the Registry of Veterans and the introduction of electronic certification.
