Petro Poroshenko has recorded a video message in which he said that he intended to return to Ukraine in the first half of January.
The former president posted the video on his Facebook page.
In it, he said that he and his team are now in Warsaw, where he and Polish and other European politicians are discussing the creation of a "coalition of countries to support Ukraine and resist Russia."
"Numerous meetings" with Poroshenko's politicians will continue, he said, until tomorrow.
The former president also said that he had received "greetings" from the president's office that "they would be sympathetic" if he stayed in Europe and did not return to Ukraine.
The politician assured that this will not happen, and that he will return to the country for sure, but "on his own schedule," not the schedule of the "screenwriter" Zelensky.
"I will not give them such a gift, and I will return to Ukraine in the first half of January," Poroshenko said.
In addition, he added that Ukrainian politicians should now think about their country, not their ratings.
