The bill on introducing remote voting for MPs in Ukraine will be introduced in parliament right after the new year. This was announced by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk during an interview.
According to the speaker, the work on the development of the corresponding document has already begun.
"Today all parliaments in Europe have a mixed voting system. And, above all, this is due to the fact that in case of danger - a pandemic, or aggression of the Russian Federation, it is necessary to ensure the work of the parliament," - stressed Stefanchuk.
He also recalled that two years ago he already suggested introducing online voting for MPs. Now, in his opinion, there are a number of challenges whose development is impossible to predict.
