Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba on Friday summed up the results of diplomacy during 2021, the UNN correspondent reports.
"It was a good year for Ukraine's diplomacy. On the one hand - a year of threats and challenges, in fact, as always. On the other hand - a year of great initiatives and achievements. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs systematically and consistently worked on the active establishment of Ukraine as an active participant in international politics, systematically strengthened security for our state in difficult conditions, opened new economic opportunities for Ukrainian business in the world. This year we managed to achieve a lot of results. We have highlighted the most important of them "- the Minister said.
Thus, according to the Minister, the top ten victories of Ukrainian diplomacy in 2021 are as follows:
1) The first foreign policy strategy in 30 years, the Asian and African strategies, the strategy of public diplomacy and communication strategy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
2) Creation of the "Crimean Plaform";
3) Visit of the President of Ukraine to the United States and building a relationship of trust with Joe Biden's administration;
4) Opening of new economic opportunities for Ukrainian companies, expansion of Ukrainian exports;
5) Strengthening of Ukrainian troops by the efforts of diplomats;
6) Launch of the "Associated Trio" and its recognition by the EU;
7) Diplomacy for Peace - de-escalation of security threats in spring and mobilization of partners to develop a Russian deterrence package now;
8) Evacuating about 1,000 people from Afghanistan and the Gaza Strip;
9) Preserving opportunities for Ukrainians to travel to Europe;
10) Pride in Ukraine.
It should be noted that on December 22, Ukraine celebrates Diplomatic Service Day.
