Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov is on a working visit to the Kingdom of Sweden. The minister said this on his Twitter, writes UNN.
"My visit to Sweden has begun. Ahead there are many interesting meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Sweden: in the Ministry of Defense, in the Foreign Ministry, in Parliament and the like. The details are a little later," Reznikov said.
According to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, a visit to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute is also planned as part of the visit.
The press release released by the Swedish Ministry of Defense states that today, on December 14, Minister of Defense of Sweden Peter Hultqvist and Mr. Reznikov will hold a joint press briefing regarding the Ukrainian minister's visit to Sweden.
Earlier, in a commentary for Politico, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that in case Russia attacks Ukraine, the war will come to the entire European continent.
According to the head of the Defense Ministry, Ukraine is not the ultimate goal of Russian President Vladimir Putin. After invading our lands, he will send the Russian army into Europe to show "what Russia is capable of."
"We are just a part, a square on the chessboard of Russia's great ambitions," Reznikov noted.
At the same time, he specified that a full-scale clash between the Russian and Ukrainian armies would be a real disaster for both sides.
