Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is undergoing a rehabilitation course in prison, has been allowed to go on a regular diet and appointed a trainer to make him move more. Elena Giorgadze, endocrinologist and member of the state consilium of doctors, told this to journalists.

The consilium, established by the order of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, visited Saakashvili on December 13 for a routine check-up. The medics found the politician's laboratory indices to be satisfactory.

According to them, Saakashvili has no life-threatening complications: he is not deficient in any vitamin and will switch to a normal mixed diet as of tomorrow.

However, according to Giorgadze, Saakashvili is weak because he moves very little.

"He used to move actively. Now he is more lazy and moves less. Tonight he did not agree with more physical activity. But we got his confirmation that he will be more active together with the methodologist and will do the tasks that the specialist doctor will work out for him," hematologist and member of the consultation Nino Sharashenidze explained.

On November 19, Saakashvili was transferred from the prison hospital to a military hospital. After that, the former president of Georgia stopped his hunger strike.
