Zelensky on the likelihood of a large-scale war with Russia

Zelensky made it clear that one should not expect a big war with Russia. And he said that the threats in the country are internal, not external right now.  He said that the war has been going on for eight years and little has changed so far.

"It seems to me that we have been at war for eight years. As for widespread - I think there is intimidation by some of the media today about it. We are in full control of our borders and fully prepared for the situation. We have all the intelligence, we have military, information, financial assistance, but I think we have to count on ourselves - we have a powerful army.

We are increasing the salaries of the military. We must be ready, but the most important thing is that we have challenges not only from the Russian Federation. We have internal challenges. I consult all the time - yesterday there was Charles Michel and Angela Merkel. They want us to have a conversation with them, with Russia - we are not against it," Zelensky said.

Instead of external threats, the president focuses on internal threats - the very "destabilization" that they are allegedly trying to create inside Ukraine.

"These challenges are already being recorded by the intelligence of other countries. I have already received information that there will be a coup d'etat in our country on the 1st and 2nd," Zelensky said.
