Attempts of provocation are not excluded: Putin commented on information about a possible attack on Ukraine

The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov responded to the information of the Ukrainian and Western intelligence services on the preparation of the invasion of Ukraine - he "does not exclude attempts of provocations".

This is reported by TASS.

Vladimir Putin called the information that Russia is concentrating its troops and planning a large-scale invasion of Ukraine in winter 2022, "hysteria", and also accused the United States of inflaming the situation.

In addition, Peskov said that "one cannot rule out" possible provocations that would allegedly be an excuse to accuse Russia of attacking Ukraine.

"This hysteria is being artificially inflated. They accuse Russia of some unusual military activity on our territory by those who have brought their armed forces from across the ocean. That is, the United States of America. Well, this is not exactly logical or decent," said Peskov.

Putin's spokesman also voiced the threat that attempts to forcefully de-occupy ORDLO would have "the most serious consequences."

"Ukraine is most likely achieving another attempt to start a forceful solution to its own problem. Achieves this, most likely, under the cover of the very NATO exercises, NATO ships in the Black Sea, American, British soldiers in the region, which is becoming more and more," Peskov said.

Earlier, The Washington Post wrote that the Russian military once again started pulling equipment to Ukraine's borders.
