Once again there was a fire in a nursing home in Ukraine that resulted in casualties. This time in Dnepr. This is reported by the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
It is reported that today the police received a report that in a private home for the elderly in the Central District of Dnipropetrovsk found the bodies of five women aged 75 to 89 years.
According to police, there was a short circuit and electrical wiring fire in one of the rooms on the second floor. It is assumed that the women might have been poisoned by carbon monoxide, their bodies were sent for examination.
Information was entered in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 270 (Violation of fire safety requirements established by law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article is up to eight years of imprisonment.
The police detained the administrator of a private nursing home. Within the framework of the investigation necessary examinations will be appointed. The investigation continues.
