According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine insists on resuming work in the Normandy format without preconditions. However, Russia is stalling the negotiation process by avoiding meetings, RBC-Ukraine reported.
"At the end of the day I will hold separate talks with the foreign ministers of Germany and France to intensify work in the Normandy format," the Ukrainian foreign minister stressed.
"The security situation requires so many talks. It is such high diplomatic activity helped to reduce the tension in the spring of 2021. The security of the country and citizens, countering Russian aggression, strengthening relations with strategic partners - all these are priority tasks of the Strategy of foreign policy activity of Ukraine," wrote Kuleba.
According to the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Russia continues to destabilize the security situation along our border, in the wider Black Sea region and in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea. Violation of the ceasefire in Donbas, troop movements, gas blackmail, propaganda, and the artificially created migration crisis in Belarus are all elements of a new stage of Russia's hybrid aggression against Europe.
"We are working with partners to minimize risks and counter threats from the Russian Federation," the Ukrainian minister stressed.
Recall that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba is on a working visit to Brussels (Belgium) on Monday, where he will meet with, among others, the NATO Secretary General, the OSCE chairman-in-office, as well as the foreign ministers of Germany and France, writes UNN.
At 5 p.m., the minister is scheduled to meet jointly with colleagues in the "Normandy format" - the foreign ministers of Germany and France.
