The National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) has approved new sanctions. It concerns citizens who are associated with the opening of a "representative office" of Nicaragua in occupied Crimea.
This became known during a briefing by Alexei Danilov, secretary of the CNSD.
"The next issue is the issue of applying personal sanctions against those people who opened a Nicaraguan representation in Crimea. These are eight individuals - four citizens of Nicaragua and four citizens of the Russian Federation," Danilov said.
Three aircraft operated in the U.S. are also subject to sanctions. Danilov noted that the aircraft belonging to Medvedchuk has not flown since the beginning of the sanctions.
Earlier, it became known about Ukraine's sanctions against Nicaragua, which opened an "honorary consulate" in Crimea. The Nicaraguan ambassador to Russia visited Crimea without coordinating this issue with Ukraine.
