Ukraine has full control of the situation on its border with Belarus. Border guards are now stepping up protection and are ready for possible provocations. This was reported by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevgeniy Yenin.
"The situation on the border is fully controlled. The neighbors should be aware that the Ukrainian borders are prepared for such provocations. Probable directions that migrants can use to get to Ukraine have already been calculated," he said.
Yenin noted that now the section of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border is being strengthened in order to contain the flow of migrants in case of need.
"Measures are being taken to engineer the section of the state border between Ukraine and Belarus. Ukrainian state border protection agencies will be reinforced with personnel, equipment and special means, including drones, and service dogs," said a representative of the Interior Ministry.
