Business support in the "red zones" of adaptive quarantine is now considered in the context of improving access to credit and reducing the burden for the lease of municipal and state property, said the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.

"Regarding business support. We are constantly looking and talking to businesses about what kind of support they need today... Since we are not doing a lockdown today as we did in previous waves: we don't have business closures, our goal is to vaccinate the teams and the community, the customers, if we are talking about restaurants. In the last wave, restaurants were closed, some areas suffered and those businesses were supported. In this wave, the key is to vaccinate. If the staff is vaccinated, businesses work without restrictions," Shmygal said at a briefing after a working trip to Zaporizhzhia region on Tuesday, answering a question from Interfax-Ukraine about the government's plans to resume financial support for businesses in "red zones" of the quarantine.

The government is also considering several areas of support that do not involve direct payment of funds. In particular it is a question of affordable loans.

In addition, according to the prime minister, customer-oriented businesses are asking to settle rent reductions for the period of severe quarantine restrictions.

"That's the responsibility of the local government ... We can recommend that. This is one of the main requests of business: to ease the burden for the rent of municipal and state property," he added.
