Arahamiya announced changes in the Cabinet of Ministers

David Arahamiya, the leader of the Servants of the People faction, has confirmed that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is planning to rotate personnel. Current Defense Minister Andriy Taran will give up his post to Oleksiy Reznikov due to his health and the need to implement reforms as soon as possible. He announced this at a briefing.

"On Mr. Reznikov, I think everyone understands that the rules have changed significantly in defense procurement ... And the Defense Ministry needs drastic changes. In agreement with Mr. Taran, because he has a health condition among other things, and now needs a turbo mode in the Ministry of Defense, it was necessary to look for an experienced manager who could lead all these changes. Well, in fact, Mr. Reznikov has already proved his professionalism, diplomacy and has a reputation among international partners," said Arahamia.

In addition, within the framework of this rotation, the Servants of the People appoint Iryna Vereshchuk as Minister of Reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories.

Pavel Ryabikin, the current head of the Customs Service, will move to the Ministry of Strategy and Industry, but without the post of Deputy Prime Minister, Arahamiya said, adding that his first deputy Ruslan Strelets will be considered to replace Roman Abramovsky as Minister of Environment.

He also made it clear that the faction would appoint Yulia Sviridenko, deputy head of the presidential administration, as economics minister if negotiations on the dismissal of Alexei Lyubchenko, deputy prime minister for economic issues, are brought to a logical conclusion.
