Today, October 29, meetings of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities began in Odesa. Presiding at the forum is President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Opening the meeting, Volodymyr Zelensky noted that there were 2 important issues on the agenda today.
"One of the hot topics is counteraction to coronavirus.... Vaccination is an important point to counteract the spread and reduce the rate of spread of COVID-19. The issue of vaccination is the most important at the moment. Today we will just discuss the situation with the regions on this topic, the problems with oxygen.
The second issue is the heating season. Here we would like to hear from regional leaders about the current situation, how the regions plan to get off to a good start, and what the tariff situation is. The main idea should remain the preservation of tariffs at last year's level. This is what the memorandum between the Central Government and regional authorities was signed about", - the President of Ukraine said at the opening of the Congress.
As a reminder, it is planned that during his visit, Vladimir Zelensky will familiarize himself with the objects, erected and reconstructed in Odesa region within the framework of the National Program "Great Construction".
It is also expected that Vladimir Zelensky will take part in the procedure of official "acceptance" of the scientific vessel "Belgica" and the icebreaker James Clark Ross. The latter will be given a Ukrainian name today.
