Gordon was deported from Georgia

Ukrainian interviewer Dmitry Gordon wanted to visit former Georgian President and current head of the Executive Committee of the National Council of Reforms Mikhail Saakashvili in the pre-detention center in Rustavi, but he was not allowed into the country. He wrote about it on his Instagram page.

"Flew to Tbilisi an hour ago and all this time I was waiting at the passport control for a stamp in my passport. Just now I was officially announced that I am banned from entering Georgia," he wrote.

According to Gordon, the decision to ban him from entering Georgia was not explained to him. He himself believes that it is connected with an attempt to visit Saakashvili.

"The day before the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry asked the Georgian Foreign Ministry to organize my visit to Rustavi prison Mikhail Saakashvili. Everything that happened is an international scandal and an embarrassment for the Georgian authorities. I'm leaving for Kiev by the same plane that I flew in," he added.

The decision to ban entry into Georgia concerned not only Gordon, but also his wife Olesya Batzman, as well as the heads of the Office of Simple Solutions and Results Maria Barabash and Yevgeni Sushchenko.
