The Parliamentary Ombudsman for Human Rights Liudmila Denisova met with the Georgian ex-president, head of the executive committee of the National Council of Reforms of Ukraine Mikhael Saakashvili in the prison of Rustavi city. The ombudsman made this known to journalists after the visit.
Denisova said that the politician does not stop the hunger strike, refuses to be transferred to a prison hospital, and also opposes forced feeding.
"He considers himself a prisoner of Putin," Denisova added.
The ombudsman also spoke about the problems she encountered at the Tbilisi airport.
"Yesterday they questioned me for 40 minutes about why I came to Georgia," she said.
Denisova later said she plans to meet with Georgian Ombudsman Nino Lomjaria as well.
