Russia Threatens Stability in Ukraine and Georgia – NATO

NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina believes that Russia threatens the preservation of stability in the region with its actions, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

«Georgia and NATO are concerned about Russia's security policy. In this region, Russia often uses the threat of force and threatens the preservation of stability both in Georgia and in other countries of the region, for example, in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova,» Colomina said after a meeting with Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani, quoted by the Georgian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier on Tuesday, Kolomina accused Russia of disrespecting the August 12, 2008 cease-fire agreement. He told this to journalists after he was informed about the situation on the border with South Ossetia.

The special representative of Secretary General of NATO is in Georgia on a two-day visit. Earlier on Tuesday, Kolomina told journalists that he would be leaving Tbilisi to visit Armenia.
