Volodymyr Zelenskyi did not launder money – statement

Volodymyr Zelenskyi stated that neither he nor anyone else from the «Kvartal 95» creative studio was involved in money laundering.

Thus, the President of Ukraine commented on the information published earlier in the media from the so-called «Pandora's Archive».

«Honestly, the plot is not very much. Because, firstly, nothing new,» - said Vladimir Zelensky in an interview with ICTV.

According to the head of state, such information previously appeared in the media, controlled by his predecessor as head of state Petro Poroshenko. «In 2019, I saw the same movie on the channels of the oligarch Poroshenko, who showed it because he understood that there was «no dirt against me,» Zelensky stressed.

At the same time, Zelensky did not deny that in 2012 he used offshore companies.

«Under Yanukovych, everyone then structured their business, especially the business related to the media. All channels had companies abroad, absolutely everything. Because it was an opportunity for you not to be influenced by politics,» said the Ukrainian president.

It will be recalled that the Pandora's Archive, which was studied by the International Committee of Investigative Journalists, includes almost 12 million documents from 14 offshore registrars from around the world. This is one of the largest leaks in the history of information about offshore companies and their real beneficiaries.

The journalistic investigation mentions more than 30 former and current leaders of the world and more than 300 high-ranking government officials. It also mentions more than 1,500 Ukrainians, including the current Ukrainian president.

In particular, according to these data, offshore companies Zelensky and his team since 2012 allegedly received $ 40 million from offshore companies associated with the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, when the studio «Kvartal 95» began to cooperate with his TV channel «1 + 1», writes Interfax-Ukraine.
