The price of gas in Europe fell sharply after the statements of the Russian leadership

Gas prices have fallen to 90 euros per MWh, according to ICE. This is approximately equal to 1,100 dollars (949.5 euros) per 1 thousand cubic meters. Later, by 11:30 am in Kyiv, the price of November futures on the index of the most liquid European hub TTF in the Netherlands fell to 82 euros per MWh ($ 1,000.89 or 865.5 euros per 1,000 cubic meters).

 

Then the price rose again to 90 euros per MWh.

 

The sharp rise in gas futures peaked on the afternoon of October 6, when the cost of one thousand cubic meters exceeded $ 1,900. Since then, quotes have declined. By the middle of the day, the price had fallen by $ 600, gaining all morning growth and was lower than at the opening of the auction.

 

Western media reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin's statement about the willingness to stabilize rising energy prices preceded their sharp decline in the world market.
