The EU has confirmed that the abolition of visa-free travel for Ukraine is not relevant

The EU is not currently considering the abolition of visa-free travel for Ukraine. This was stated to "European Truth" by the head of the support group of Ukraine in the European Commission, Deputy Director General for Neighborhood and Enlargement of the EC Katarina Maternova.

"I will answer directly: visa-free travel is deserved for Ukraine, it is also the result of Ukraine's choice for the European future. So, visa liberalization is a good example and incentive for other countries with a similar desire, "she explained.

However, in theory, the European Commission does not rule out any of the options.

"We will continue to monitor the anti-corruption criteria for "a visa-free suspension mechanism" that includes the continuous implementation of liberalization indicators and recommendations, "Maternova said.

It should be noted that rumors that the EU may abolish visa-free travel for Ukraine appeared against the background of an interview with the EU auditor on the situation with the fight against corruption in Ukraine.
