In 8 months, the unplanned deficit of the Pension Fund, financed by EQF loans, reached UAH 12.1 billion. This is the maximum for this year.
Compared to 2020, the real deficit is smaller, according to the Center for Analysis of Public Finance and Public Administration.
Last year the record was in November, when the Pension Fund owed UAH 18.5 billion, and in August its figures were at the level of UAH 16 billion.
It will be recalled that the Ministry of Social Policy will hold five stages of increasing pensions in 2022. Proposals to optimize social assistance have been made to the state budget for next year.
It should be noted that from October 1, 2021, a number of Ukrainians will increase their pension benefits. Such people will be paid an additional UAH 400 per month. These are the categories of recipients of benefits from the state by age and insurance experience, who have reached the age of 75-80 years. The Ministry of Social Policy stated that there are about a million pensioners in this category in Ukraine.
