Zelenskyy suggested Biden to involve the United States in talks on Donbas

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has invited US President Joe Biden to join the Donbas settlement. Zelenskyy offered the United States a new format of negotiations to resolve the conflict with Russia. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the briefing of the head of the state in Washington.

According to Zelensky before the direct meeting with Biden he had not talked to the American side about this format of negotiations.

"Regarding Donbass I proposed formats involving US representatives at the presidential level in the format of settling the war in Donbass. The United States will think about my proposal. I have not provided details before the meeting," he said.

Asked by reporters whether it would be a new format or whether the United States would join the "Quartet of Normandy" talks, the Ukrainian president said: "Any format."
