The European Commission responded to Ukraine's note on Nord Stream- 2

The European Commission is ready to discuss and continue dialogue with Ukraine on energy-related issues. So the EC responded to the note sent by Kiev to Brussels of the agreement, which the United States and Germany concluded on the completion of the construction of "Nord Stream-2", reports UNN.   

 "We are in constant contact with the Ukrainian authorities on many issues, including energy issues. We look forward to discussing with our Ukrainian colleagues how best to fulfill their request for advice," the European Commission said in response to a question on whether the European Commission has responded to Ukraine's request for consultations.

"We sent our Ukrainian colleagues a response, in which we expressed our readiness to discuss and continue an ongoing dialogue on energy-related issues. The EU continues to attach great importance to the energy security of Ukraine. We are still ready to discuss any issues of concern to Ukraine, "the EC reported.    

At the end of July, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine sent notes to Brussels and Berlin on the completion of the construction of Nord Stream 2, regarding consultations. The European Commission later confirmed that it had received a request from the Foreign Ministry for urgent consultations. 

 On July 21, the United States and Germany reached an agreement on the construction of the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline "to Europe, without further US sanctions.   

Later, the US and Germany announced a joint agreement to complete the construction of Nord Stream 2, where they promise to support sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. The document is called "A Joint Statement by the United States and Germany in Support of Ukraine, European Energy Security and Our Climate Goals."
