The TV channels participating in the national telethon "Yedyni novyny" have been officially confirmed as critically important for the functioning of the economy and the livelihoods of the population during the special period. This is evidenced by the orders of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
These are the following TV channels: We Are Ukraine; 1+1; ICTV; Inter; Rada; and Suspilne Novyny.
Also, since the beginning of 2024, the status of critical importance was granted and confirmed to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Ukrinform agency, Novy Kanal, STB, UNIAN, TET, Starline Media LLC, Khmarochos Media LLC, Deutsche Welle, NBM TV, as well as the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine and others.
This status entitles TV channels, among other things, to reserve some of their employees from mobilization. According to the government's reservation procedure, more than 50% of employees of enterprises important to the country can receive a deferral from the draft.
In addition, the Ministry of Culture included the state-owned enterprise "Mobile Circus of Ukraine" in the list of critically important enterprises. As a result, it will receive reservations for 50% of conscripted employees. This was reported by MP Zheleznyak.
"So catch the news: the same status was given to the State Enterprise "Mobile Circus of Ukraine" ... a critically important enterprise, institution, organization for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the livelihoods of the population in a special period," Zheleznyak wrote.
According to the company's website, it consists of 8 circus groups, with 255 employees. The main activities of the Directorate are the preservation and development of national circus art. Since 2022, no animals have been involved in circus performances.
