Eight Russian missiles hit the Dnipro HPP during the attack on March 22. The plant is out of service, but there is no threat of a breakthrough. This was stated by Yuriy Bilousov, Head of the Department for Combating Crimes in the Context of Armed Conflict of the Prosecutor General's Office, during a telethon.

"Today was the most massive attack on energy facilities over the past year, that's for sure. We can say that along with today's attack, Russians have repeatedly attacked 136 energy facilities in Ukraine since the large-scale invasion," he said.

The representative of the Prosecutor General's Office emphasized that the power plant was put out of commission, eight missiles hit the HPP.

"Today Zaporizhzhia was under massive attack. The HPP itself was hit eight times, which means that eight missiles hit this important facility for Ukraine, which performs not only the energy component but also other functions," Bilousov said.

He added that there is no threat of a dam breach at the Dnipro HPP.

In addition, a large-scale leakage of oil products into the Dnipro River occurred after the hits at the Dnipro HPP. This was reported by the State Environmental Inspectorate.
