Prosecutor General: They wanted to sell a million low-quality food packages to the military

The Prosecutor General's Office has brought charges of illegally concluding an agreement for the purchase of low-quality food packages for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Prosecutor General's Office successfully proved in court the illegality of the provisions of an additional agreement concluded by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with a commercial company for the purchase of food packages for the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This agreement concerns one million food packages with a total value of UAH 430 million.

According to the court's decision, this agreement provided for the purchase of food packages that did not meet the nutritional standards for military personnel and did not meet their needs. In addition, the agreement confirmed the fact that the Ministry of Defense purchased low-quality products.

The prosecutors argued that the conclusion of this additional agreement was a violation of the current legislation and contrary to the interests of the state.
