In Ukraine, during the week from August 22 to 28, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 increased by a quarter, against the figure a week earlier - to 11,437. This is evidenced by the data of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health.

 According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, a total of 5,056,378 cases of covid have been recorded in Ukraine.

 Of them, 11,437 cases were recorded during the reporting week, while a week earlier - 9,113. So, a 25.5% increase was recorded for the week.

 At the same time, during the week from August 22 to August 28, 3,649 vaccinated persons fell ill with covid in Ukraine, against 2,806 a week earlier (+30%).

 The most cases per week were recorded in Ternopil (1196), Vinnytsia (940), Khmelnytskyi (877), Chernivtsi (872), and Sumy (862) regions.

 Hospitalizations due to covid for one week in Ukraine increased by 16.8% - to 3048.

 Recovered from COVID-19 in a week - 5383 (+25.6%). A total of 4,927,508 people recovered.

 The number of deaths for the week increased by 65.2% - 38 people died, while a week earlier there were 23. In total, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 108,841 people have died from covid in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic.
