As a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine 344 children were killed and more than 640 wounded - Office of the Prosecutor General

As of the morning of July 2, 2022, more than 984 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation, the Office of the Attorney General reported.

 

"These figures are not final, as work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories. The most affected children in the Donetsk region - 340, Kharkiv region - 185, Kyiv region - 116, Chernihiv region - 68, Lugansk region - 61, Mykolaiv region - 53, Kherson region - 52, Zaporizhzhia region - 31," said in a message on Facebook.

 

In particular, on July 1, an 11-year-old boy was wounded as a result of an enemy air strike on civilian infrastructure in the town of Bakhmut, Donetsk region.

 

It became known that a 9-year-old child was injured as a result of missile attacks by the Russian armed forces on June 27 Amstor shopping mall in Kremenchug, Poltava region.

 

"Also during the day increased the number of victims of rocket fire in Belgorod-Dnistrovskiy district of Odessa region on July 1. During the day it became known that another child was killed and three were injured: a 2-year-old girl and two boys aged 8 and 13. The condition of the two children is extremely serious", the law enforcers reported.

 

Because of the bombardment and shelling by the Russian armed forces, 2,102 educational institutions were damaged, of which 215 were completely destroyed.
