Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had received intelligence indicating that Russian forces were preparing a new large-scale attack on Ukraine.
“Today, we received updated intelligence on Russia’s preparations for a large-scale strike. We are preparing measures in response,” Zelenskyy said.
According to the Ukrainian president, deadlines have been set for a significant number of tasks, while initial measures are already being implemented.
Media reports suggest that Russia is preparing what could be its largest attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure since the start of the war.
Russia could reportedly deploy up to 1,000 missiles, drones and aerial bombs in strikes targeting power plants, substations and water supply facilities.
Russian forces could also attempt to disrupt operations at Ukraine’s three functioning nuclear power plants, according to the reports.
