Georgia ranks first among 191 countries for the delivery of humanitarian aid to Ukraine by mail, - such data is published today by the Georgian Post with reference to the State Post of Ukraine Ukrposhta. This is reported by Novosti-Georgia.

The message reflects the official data as of April 1.

Georgia was also named among the 14 countries that allow individuals and businesses to send parcels to recipients in Ukraine for free.

According to Ukrposhta, Georgia is in 1st place in terms of humanitarian aid, followed by Romania with 80 tons of humanitarian aid, followed by Belgium with 40 tons.

"Sending humanitarian cargo logistically, Georgia Post ensured in cooperation with Ukraine Post," notes the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

The ministry reports that the humanitarian cargoes include various basic necessities, including food and beverages, first-aid items and medical aid.
