Since the beginning of the war, the Moscow Patriarchate has taken over 28 communities in nine regions

During a month of full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine, 28 communities officially transferred to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine from the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate.

According to the PCU press service, parishes in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Zakarpattia, Ternopil, Rivne, Volyn, Kyiv, and Cherkasy regions changed their jurisdiction in favor of the PCU. In particular, the communities of two monasteries in Lviv region have joined the bosom of the local church.

"It is time to make a choice - with your conscience and heart: are you on the side of the aggressor, the ruthless killer of civilians or on the side of your native land, its people, its Church? Do not be helpers of the "Russian world," silent henchmen of Russia. Perform Christianly, on your God-given land, be with your people, pray for our defenders," the PCU returns to the faithful, who now belong to the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate.

It will be recalled that the other day the Synod of the PCU adopted the rules for the transition of parishes and urged the congregations of the UOC-MP to canonical unity.

According to the survey, more than half of the parishioners of the UOC Moscow Patriarchate support the dissolution of ties with the ROC. 42% believe that the resumption of friendly relations between Ukrainians and Russians is out of the question.
