French President Emmanuel Macron said he supports the position of German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. She in turn supports the completion of construction.
Macron said this at a joint press conference following talks with the German leader.
According to him, the priorities of France and Germany in Europe are to ensure the policy of energy transition.
