In the coming days, Ukraine will receive the first artillery shells purchased under the Czech initiative. This was announced by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Barron's reports.
According to him, 15 countries of the European Union and NATO have already contributed more than 1.6 billion euros to the initiative to purchase artillery shells for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The first tens of thousands of 155-millimeter ammunition will be delivered in June. Ukraine can expect the first batch in the coming days,” said the Czech Prime Minister.
Initially, it was expected that 800,000 rounds would be purchased as part of the Czech initiative.
