NNEGC Energoatom said on its official Telegram channel that anonymous Telegram channels are spreading fake information about an emergency at the Khmelnytskyi NPP, which, according to unknown sources, led to an increase in the radiation background in Khmelnytskyi and Rivne regions.

The posted message stated that Khmelnytskyi NPP units operate normally and there were no deviations from the normal operation of the nuclear power plant. In addition, there are no "unforeseen situations". The radiation situation at the plant is within the established standards.

The company's representatives urged citizens to use only reliable information from official sources and refrain from spreading false reports.
