On the night of April 12, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 17 Shahed-type kamikaze drones, and the Ukrainian military destroyed 16 of them. The falling debris caused a fire in Kryvyi Rih, which has been localized. This was reported by Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine.
The Russians attacked with 17 Shaheds from Cape Chauda in Crimea and an X-59 guided missile from the airspace of the occupied part of Donbas.

Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine noted that the Russians were targeting the energy infrastructure of various regions of Ukraine.
According to the military, seven "Shaheds" were shot down in the south: four in Dnipropetrovsk region and one each in Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.
