As a result of today's attacks by the Russian occupiers, a thermal power plant in the Kharkiv region, which supplies Kharkiv, was damaged. This was stated by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the Kharkiv City Council reports on Telegram.
The mayor said that in addition to the attack on the TPP, the Russians also shelled a transformer substation, which was completely destroyed.
At the same time, Terekhov clarified that the city continues to function despite such attacks.
"We have restored the subway, launched trolleybus and some tram routes. But Kharkiv really needs a modern air defense system now. Without it, everything we restore will be attacked again by the enemy," the mayor added.
He noted that the Office of the President, cities and regions of Ukraine provide Kharkiv with generators and fuel.
