Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić spoke of the "difficult news" that Belgrade has received and warned of a threat to "national interests."
According to him, "it will be harder than ever".
"Serbia is facing difficult days. It is not easy for me to say what news we have received in the last 48 hours. The vital national interests of Republika Srpska are under direct threat. In the coming days, I will inform the people of Serbia with all the challenges that await us. It will be hard, as it has never been harder. We will fight. Serbia will win," the president wrote on Instagram.
He did not specify what threats he was referring to. Local journalists suggest that this may be related to Kosovo's possible accession to the Council of Europe or the transition of this territory to the euro, which could affect Serbs living there.
