The current security situation is the most serious since World War II. One of the reasons for this is Russia. This was stated by the head of the Czech Information and Security Service, Michal Koudelka, České noviny reports.

"What Russian soldiers do in Ukraine or Palestinian terrorists in Israel, they would do here without any pity," he said.

According to him, it is necessary to be ready for current risks.

Koudelka stated it would be a mistake to view the wars in Ukraine or Israel as something that concerns the Czech population only slightly or not at all.

"The aggressive Russian Federation poses a great threat to democratic countries in Europe, including the Czech Republic," he said.
