The head of the Servant of the People party faction, David Arakhamia, has rejected the Georgian authorities' demand to extradite Mikheil Saakashvili's government officials who are now working in the Ukrainian government. He stated this on his Telegram channel.
"The pro-Kremlin authorities in Georgia are putting forward some demands for the extradition of our citizens to 'normalize relations,'" Arakhamia said.
He added that for true "normalization" Georgia should release Ukrainian citizen Mikheil Saakashvili from prison and return him; stop direct flights with Russia; and stop helping Russia evade sanctions.
"Then the normalization of relations will happen easily," the head of the Servant of the People faction concluded.
Earlier, we reported that Georgia is calling on Kyiv to extradite two Saakashvili's associates who hold high positions in Ukraine: Advisor to the Prosecutor General Zurab Adeishvili and Deputy Head of the Counterintelligence Service Giorgi Lortkipanidze.
