A new attempt to allocate aid to Ukraine: Biden will meet with the Congress leaders

Tomorrow, February 27, US President Joe Biden will meet with congressional leaders to try again to convince them to allocate aid to Ukraine and other allies and prevent a shutdown. Bloomberg reports this with reference to a statement from the White House.

The office of US House Speaker Mike Johnson confirmed that he will attend the meeting. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries will also attend.

The White House wants the House of Representatives to approve the bill passed by the Senate. Bloomberg notes that this could cost Johnson his job.
