Norway supports Ukraine: transfers additional NASAMS systems

Norway plans to transfer ten more NASAMS launchers to Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Norwegian government.

The Norwegian government proposes to the parliament to order ten launchers and four fire control centers for the NASAMS air defense system from Kongsberg Defense and Aerospace (KDA). This is in addition to the previously transferred equipment.

Investments in this initiative amount to NOK 3.45 billion.

The Norwegian Minister of Defense, Bjørn Arild Gram, emphasized the importance of the NASAMS system for Ukraine's security, as it helps protect the lives of citizens and prevents the destruction of infrastructure as a result of Russian attacks.

Ukraine is already receiving support in the form of NASAMS systems, the first deliveries of which began in November 2022.
