Switzerland invited China to the peace summit on Ukraine

Switzerland has asked China to take part in a peace conference on the war in Ukraine. This was announced by Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis during a conversation with journalists after a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Bloomberg reports.

Cassis said that Wang "took note of the invitation". He expects a response in a few days.

"China has a very strong relationship with Russia, but it is still ready to do its part to end this war," Cassis said.

As a reminder, Ukraine has already organized several meetings on the peace formula at the level of advisors to the heads of state, which were attended by dozens of countries. The main goal is to attract as many countries as possible to support this initiative.
