The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine confirmed that a prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia was being prepared today. This was stated by intelligence representative Andriy Yusov in a comment to Radio Liberty.
"But I can state that the exchange planned for today has not yet taken place," he added.
According to the representative of the GUR, the information voiced by Russia about the deaths of prisoners of war in the IL-76 plane that crashed in the Belgorod region is now being checked.

The Russian Defense Ministry has officially accused Ukraine of shooting down an IL-76 in Belgorod region.
"The Il-76 was shot down by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the area of Liptsy, Kharkiv region, using an anti-aircraft missile system," the Russian Defense Ministry said, adding that there were two missiles.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the exchange of prisoners was to take place in the afternoon at the Kolotylivka checkpoint on the Russian-Ukrainian border.
Meanwhile, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan published what is claimed to be a list of Ukrainian prisoners of war on board the crashed IL-76.
