Ukraine continues to prepare flight personnel for the full operation and maintenance of F-16 aircraft. First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk reported this in his Telegram.
Pavliuk reminded that the first group of pilots successfully completed basic training at the end of December. This stage of training included language training and lasted from August 2023.
According to him, the experienced pilots have already traveled to Denmark to train in direct F-16 flying. Other groups of pilots continue their language and basic flight training in the UK. At the same time, other specialists, including engineers and aircraft technicians, are being trained through the efforts of partners.
The lieutenant general emphasized that all issues related to the readiness of specialists and infrastructure to work with the F-16 multi-role aircraft are being addressed as a matter of priority.
