The French Mirage 2000 multi-role aircraft that Ukraine will receive are effective, but the supply of American F-16s remains in the first place. This was announced by the spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Illia Yevlash, during a telethon.
Yevlash noted that the Air Force is currently unable to comment on French President Emmanuel Macron's statement about the transfer of Mirage 2000 aircraft to Ukraine.
“We use the forces and means we have. However, now we are counting, of course, on the F-16, which is our main aircraft, which will soon arrive in Ukraine and will be able to effectively perform combat missions,” the Air Force spokesman emphasized.
He emphasized that the Mirage 2000, like all modern aircraft, is capable of effectively performing combat missions, including air and ground strikes. However, the F-16 remains the top priority.
