Until the US Congress approves President Joe Biden's request for additional funding, Washington will not be able to provide aid to Kyiv. This statement was made by National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby during a briefing.

At the same time, he emphasized that the US administration will do everything possible to ensure that Ukrainians receive the necessary weapons.

"They (arms supplies) will have to stop. The President signed the last security assistance package for which we had the authority to replenish. That's all. We need an additional law to provide additional assistance to Ukraine," he explained.

He also noted that the latest package, which the US announced in late December, should arrive in Ukraine in the coming weeks.

"But after that, in the absence of additional funding, there is no other magic pot to pull from," Kirby stated.
