Russian oppositionist Alexei Navalny is being held in penal colony No. 3 in the village of Kharp in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District of the Russian Federation. This was reported on the X network by the press secretary of the politician Kira Yarmysh.

"We have found Alexei Navalny. He is being held in VK-3 in the village of Kharp in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. His lawyer saw him today. Alexey is fine," Yarmysh wrote.

The village of Kharp (translated from Nenets as "Northern Lights") is located in the spurs of the Polar Ural Mountains, on the Sobi River, 60 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. 30 kilometers from Kharp is the town of Labytnangi, where Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov was held for five years.
